Week 5
Studio practice students put into new groups.
Ellyn, Vallance and myself
Narrative.
Define a sepcific volume within F Block with a nonlinear narritive.
This introduces an exploration of the object, and as is the case for all objects, be they physical, imagined, or digital, it must also include an exploration of the space in which it was located.
A story that does not make sense, but still tells a story, start at the end, story with different scenarios that can go anywhere.
A story within a circle about the space that can keep going round, be read over and over.
Make a painting within the painting telling a story.
A story with multiple choice questiosns and answers.
Use a window into a classroom with a painting of people doing something in that room.
A picture of a corner, a corner within a corner.
The idea we decided we would go with, was a picture of wool in a corner or on a wall and place multiple of those photos in a group on the wall, with the string coming from that image ..
We didn't really have any issues with this project, just that we had many ideas to choose from.
In the end i really enjoyed Non-liner Narrative as i learnt something new about something i didn't know existed. Using the wool like we did in the images shows Non-liner as the wool is not straight but goes indifferent angles and different directions.
